Online Courses
Our ten-week courses allow cohorts of up to five students to learn interactively. As well, each course comes with 5 additional hours of one-on-one coaching. All courses will be rewarded a certificate based on completion.
About: This course is designed to give the student an overview of youth ministry within the local church and/or para-church, and includes investigation into: the Biblical / theological / sociological foundations for youth ministry, the role and relationships of the youth worker, and practical principles and strategies that include families as an integral part of an effective youth ministry. The objective is to examine a philosophy of youth ministry that is biblically-based and effective while carefully considering one’s own philosophy of youth ministry.

About: “If only I had MORE HELP!” Recruiting and keeping a team is perhaps the most challenging piece to an effective youth ministry puzzle. Knowing who you need, what you need, and how to find those people is almost as hard as figuring out what to do with them once you have them. Join us for this ten week online course that will feature crucial guiding principles in how to build and keep a ministry team, which will increase the impact on the youth God has called you to minister to effectively. Additionally, each student will receive five hours of one-on-one coaching designed to help you in your specific ministry context.

About: So many questions, so little time! How do I: Deal with parents? Prepare a budget? Develop Small Groups? Get along with my Senior Pastor/The Board? In this ten hour online course we look at all of this and so much more as we endeavour to give you some practical instruction on the ‘everyone else’ that doesn’t get covered in the rest of the Cohort. Additionally, you will receive five hours of one-on-one coaching designed to help you in your specific ministry context.

About: Over this ten week online class, specific guidelines will be given on how to best care for the heart, develop spiritual disciplines, and prioritize spiritual self-care. Additionally, each student will receive five hours of one-on-one coaching designed to help you in your specific ministry context.

About Paul Racine: Paul enjoys coming alongside people as they realize their role in God’s story. He has been blessed to work in his areas of spiritual gifting: speaking, leadership development, mentoring, and coaching. Experience includes campus, sports, and camp ministry, in addition to having worked on Parliament Hill for 11 years and with Young Life Canada for 11 years. In 2001, it was decided that an umbrella parachurch ministry, called Doulos, should be established to enable Paul to network with and mentor youth pastors in the greater Ottawa region. Paul is married to Patty, and they have three married sons and eight grandchildren.
